Bittersweet Candy Bowl Volume One is the first graphical volume publication of Bittersweet Candy Bowl. It was originally published in 2011 and was sold through Amazon.com. It comprised of 592 pages telling 47 chapters and 13 Intermission chapters, starting from Simple Pleasures and ending at New Beginnings. The hard-cover edition of the book is no longer in print, with all 1600 copies having been sold. Soft-cover editions were made available through the store in 2017. An ebook was also available on the store during the books publication. It was made free following the Omnibus' release.

At the time, and unlike the website, the book featured a chapter that took place before the first chapter to introduce the character and the setting and features an explanation from Veronica regarding how the original drawings were all drawn into her old psychology book. A number of chapters were remade from the original drawings into the style that was current in Volume 2 at the time. These chapters included Burden of Parenthood, Helping Hands and Confrontation. These updated chapters would be uploaded to the website over the course of the book's development.

Volume One is retconned following the release of the Bittersweet Candy Bowl Omnibus, with a number of chapters, events and characters changed or dropped in order to better the flow of the story. The website offers Bittersweet Club International members the ability to swap between new and old to compare page versions, but old chapters were completely removed from the site.

Synopsis
